VHAI Focuses on Food and Nutrition Security in India

Their main motive is to build up a strong health movement in the Country for a cost-effective, preventive, promotive and rehabilitative health care system. They work towards a responsive public health sector; while they are responsible for private sector with accountability and quality service. The reputed and registered society has been promoting health issue of human rights and development.

VHAI has been working on the right health and nutrition security program in India – a project realizing the Right of Adequate Food and Nutrition – implemented in collaboration with CEA or Civic Engagement Alliance. CEA is a strategic partnership program supported by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs or MOFA.

Objective of the program is to enhance capacity of NGOs and women’s Federations to address the issues of malnutrition and contributing towards achieving the SDG 2 or Zero Hunger, SDG 5 or Gender equality and SDG 10 or reducing inequality. It is a program organized to liaison with stakeholder departments for effective implementation of nutrition related schemes and a multi-sectoral approach to address the issue of malnutrition.
